AI transparency

Since 2 August 2026, the transparency obligations under Article 50 of the EU AI Act (EU-KI-Verordnung) have applied. They require that artificially generated content be made recognisable to visitors of a website. This page summarises where artificial intelligence is used on provimedia.de, how this is labelled in each case, and where no AI is deliberately involved.
Images
Provimedia uses AI image generators to create symbolic images for the website. The tools used are gpt-image-2 by OpenAI and Gemini by Google. A symbolic image illustrates a topic without depicting a specific, actual fact or event.
The following are AI generated:
- the 218 project images under /projekte
- around 102 graphics used in the Akademie's online courses
- 32 cover images for blog articles
- the topic images on the regional service pages
- the photo cards on the homepage, on the About Us page and on several service pages
No AI is involved, on the other hand, in the staff portrait photos, the screenshots of client projects and references, or the product images of our own software. These images show what they show: real people, real projects, real products.
The AI images do not show real, existing people. They illustrate topics; they do not document actual events or places. Anyone who encounters a project image, a course graphic or a cover image should be able to recognise, without needing to ask, that it is a generated image and not a documentary one.
Labelling is therefore shown visibly: as a caption beneath the individual image, as a footnote beneath image grids in which all images are AI generated, and, for standalone images, additionally in the alt text for screen readers, so that the labelling also comes across when the page is read aloud.
Text
Text on this website is also partly produced with AI assistance, namely blog articles and course content. This text is reviewed by qualified humans before publication. Editorial responsibility for the published content always lies with Provimedia GmbH, regardless of which tool assisted with the draft.
AI-assisted Features
Two features of this website answer user questions directly using a language model: the live search in the knowledge graph at /wissen and the compliance guide in the Company Audit area. Both are directly labelled as an AI feature at the relevant location, so that it is recognisable that the answer comes from a language model and was not formulated by a member of staff.
