Why does your company need an AI certificate?
Since 2 February 2025, the AI-literacy obligation under Article 4 of the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) has been in force. Every company in the EU that uses artificial intelligence — even if only ChatGPT for emails or Microsoft Copilot for presentations — must ensure that its employees have a sufficient level of AI literacy.
The reality: according to a McKinsey study, 83% of companies have significant knowledge gaps in AI usage. At the same time, 67% of office workers already use AI tools — often without training, without data-protection awareness and without understanding the risks. The consequences can be serious: the consulting firm Deloitte had to repay 440,000 dollars because an AI-generated report contained fabricated sources. Google lost 100 billion dollars in market value after a flawed AI demo.
What the EU AI Act requires of companies
The EU AI Act is the world's first comprehensive law regulating artificial intelligence. Article 4 obliges all providers and deployers of AI systems to ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy among their staff. From August 2026, full enforcement by national supervisory authorities begins. The highest fines under the AI Act (up to €35 million or 7% of global annual turnover) apply to prohibited AI practices; a lack of AI literacy primarily exposes companies to liability and breaches of duty of care.
Our AI certificate conveys the foundational competency areas of Article 4 for general users: from the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and the safe use of AI tools, to data protection under GDPR and the requirements of the EU AI Act, through to practical applications in everyday work. After passing the exam, your employees receive a QR-verified certificate as proof of AI literacy.
Important: This training conveys the fundamentals for general users. For role-specific or particularly high-risk AI applications (e.g. high-risk AI under the AI Act), the employer remains responsible for providing additional system- and task-specific training.
Who is AI certification suitable for?
🏢 Companies & SMEs
Meet the statutory AI-literacy obligation for all employees — from trainee to management. With tiered pricing from €9.90 per person and team management for HR departments.
👤 Solo entrepreneurs & freelancers
Demonstrate your AI literacy to your clients and business partners. The certificate strengthens your professional profile and shows that you use AI responsibly and in a GDPR-compliant way. Ideal for consultants, agencies, IT service providers and anyone working with sensitive client data.
What sets our AI certificate apart?
Unlike multi-day in-person training costing €500–2,000 per person, we offer a compact online certification in 90 minutes — scientifically grounded, practical and ready to use immediately. Each flashcard contains real-world case examples, professional diagrams and is accompanied by high-quality narration. The 18 exam questions are based on realistic work scenarios, not on theoretical knowledge.
After certification, your employees know: which data may be entered into AI tools? How do you spot hallucinations and bias? What exactly does the EU AI Act require? And how do you use AI productively in your own area of work — whether marketing, sales, HR, finance or IT.
