Code Guardian · Updates
Your Code Guardian keeps itself up to date.
Instead of a download portal there are instructions your AI agent reads and an API it queries. You set it up once; from then on your agent brings every new version along by itself.
Current version: v16.161
How it works
- 1
Set up once
You enter the instructions URL together with your licence key into your agent's project file: CLAUDE.md for Claude Code, AGENTS.md for Codex. That is the whole setup.
- 2
The agent checks by itself
Your agent reads the instructions and asks the update API: which version is installed, which is current? The key protects the endpoints; the instructions are deliberately open.
- 3
Update with proof
If there is a new version, the agent downloads it, checks the SHA-256 sum against the API response, installs it and summarises the changes from the update guide for you. For Codex there is a separate package under the same version number; the API delivers the matching edition.
Why we build it this way
Every rule in Code Guardian comes from a real incident, and incidents do not stop happening. Rules therefore age, and an outdated safeguard is more dangerous than none: it feigns a safety it no longer has. An update must therefore not be a task that fizzles out on a to-do list. We have given it to the only participant who reliably gets it done: the agent you work with every day.
What you get from it
- No manual catching up
- Your safeguard stays current without anyone visiting a portal, unpacking a zip or working through instructions; the agent you use anyway takes care of it.
- Verified, not trusted
- Every version comes with a SHA-256 sum and a changelog. The agent installs nothing whose checksum does not match the API response.
- Your licence stays
- The right of use is permanent. The update subscription is optional and cancellable monthly; the first days are already included with the purchase.
- What you acquired stays downloadable
- When the subscription ends, you keep every version that appeared during your term, in the portal and via the same API.
Update subscription: 25,00 € net/month, the first 30 days are included with the purchase. Cancellable monthly in the portal.
The instructions themselves
This is the text your agent reads, written as a procedure with commands, expected responses and error codes. Store its URL together with your licence key; the agent does the rest. It exists twice: the two editions differ in paths and file names, so take the one for your agent.
