Objecting to the partner program
When you reach our site through a partner link, we create a record on our server so that a later purchase can be credited to the right partner. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to this.
You have not objected. Clicks on partner links are recorded in this browser.
What this switch does, and what it does not
It works for the future. It stores a marker in your browser that tells our server on every further visit that nothing should be recorded. The marker lasts 5 years and contains nothing but a yes: no identifier, nothing by which your device could be recognised.
It does not affect records already stored, and we tell you openly why. These records contain no name, no address and no identifier, only values we calculated with a secret key. We cannot identify you from them, so we could not even find the record we are supposed to delete for you. In exactly this situation, Article 11(2) in conjunction with Article 12(2) GDPR requires us to tell you so instead of promising an effect. The record is deleted automatically after 120 days.
It is tied to this browser. On another device, or after clearing your browser data, you need to set it again. That too follows from the fact that we do not know you: there is no account on which we could record your decision.
Independently of this, you can write to us informally at any time; the address is in our privacy policy. Your right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority remains unaffected.
